Default Weekend Shmeekend...:)

It's 5 PM on a Friday and if this was 15 years ago I would be just leaving work and looking forward to two measly days off before the drudgery began again. But not now! As I sit here I realize that every day is the weekend for me. Work and play have melded together in a wonderful synergy of time to do what I WANT to do, not what I HAVE been TOLD to do. Even when I am working with the most demanding of clients I am having fun. It's my wish that everyone on this forum gets to feel this way sooner or later. Don't give up...use the constriction of work as a motivator to really get this making money online thing down so you can live the life you choose. For those who actually enjoy their jobs...never mind... Take care all and have a great weekend.

Here! Here! Well it was less than TWO years ago for me so the memories are still very fresh. I remember trying to save up my vacation days and actually buying extra days so I could get my full 2 weeks for Christmas. And I would hate it when Christmas would fall on the wrong day and we'd get shorted out of some days.

As you said, some people do enjoy their jobs and this life is not really for them, but it certainly seems to be the life for me. I think it would be different if I had to sit at home cooped up in the house for 8 hours/day. I'm not sure I'd want to work from home if I had to keep set hours. But I try to make the best of it and make complete use of the flexibility I have now. Plus doing what you love makes a huge difference as you said.

And you are so right. I think getting tired of my 9 to 5 job was definitely the motivation that pushed me along. I was so bored and needed a change.

Hopefully this thread will give inspiration to those seeking to become their own boss. You can do it!

You guys are definitely lucky. I'll be working my 9 to 5 job until I'm old and gray. In this case the benefits outweigh the quitting.

haha thanks jazz guy!

Here in my country, us kids don't do any jobs until they complete their whole education. and that's around when you are 23 24 years of age. Till then, they're supported by their parents and relatives. SO, i still have some time left

Sounds like a great way to live... I've been working since I was 11, but that's ok since I "retired" in 1992 to work for myself. Now I'm living the life I choose to...actually, it's kind of like being 15 again...except with some cash in my pocket... Good stuff Siyab and keep it up. Later...
