Black Friday Shopping?
Did anyone take part in the Black Friday shopping tradition? One of the malls in this area opened at Midnight!! That's crazy. Unfortunately, I had to work today, so I missed the doorbuster deals. But I'm leaving work in about 15 minutes and I'm on my way to the mall and Target! I'm so excited. I'm picking up a few gifts, and some stuff for myself.

I think I'm crowd-a-phobic (if there's such a phrase) so I don't usually go out on Black Friday unless there's a specific product I'm looking for. I do most of my Christmas shopping online and can't tell you the last time I bought a gift from an offline store.
Have fun on your shopping spree! Yeah the store hours are something else. I think I read that Kohls opened at 4am this morning.

Well, my office is about 3 minutes from the mall. But the traffic was gridlocked, so it took me 15 minutes to get there. Then, there was gridlock in the parking lots , so I just came home. I expected it to be crowded, but not like that. I'm going out first thing in the morning though. I've been thinking about shopping online this year, but I just feel better being able to get an in-person look at what I'm buying.

I do 90% of shopping on line and a 60/40% [that's a guess] split on research online and in stores...I still like to SEE what I'm buying even when I'm buying online.
I'm looking to get a HDTV LCD and the prices online beat up on in store prices. I can get a TV for 800 online but in a store I've got to pay tax and shipping which ads another 300 to the bill. It's too bad I'm not ready to take advantage of the sales but that's OK.
I don't do extended warranties...my friends think it's reckless but it is what it is.

Now I've gotta say, that's the earliest I've EVER heard a store opening for Black Friday.

I don't blame you at all, those crowds can get pretty vicious. It doesn't help that I'm usually a dodger as opposed to the dodgee. Still haven't figured that one out, whether it's due to height or vibes or what, but as soon as I start getting pushed around, I've had enough.

So true. I think it is the pushing and rudeness that annoys me more than anything.

I never like visiting malls around this time because of the crowds. I now do most of my shopping online all year round.

Malls aren't so bad when you live in Iowa. xD
Concerts, however, I avoid. :F

did anyone know that today is called "Cyber Monday"? It's the biggest internet shopping day of the year. Apparently, it's always the Monday after Thanksgiving because everyone goes back to work and does their internet shopping while they should be working. I wonder how much "work" people will get done today!!

For me it seems that everyday is "Cyber Monday". I really have got to stop shopping online...but it's so convenient.

Tell me about it! I just spent crazy money at OldNavy.com for myself and I was supposed to be Christmas shopping.
