I am one hour away from launching off to a mini vacation on Panama City's beautiful beaches. I am so excited. Every thing's packed and ready to go. My daughter is already there and she called me last night. Apparently the rip tides are really bad in the area and some people recently drown.
Many years ago my Grand Father was rather successful in business in the Panama City area. He built our family a beautiful beach house on the gulf. A few of us grand kids now own it and get to vacation there every year. Oh, I can hear the waves as I am typing.
It's about a 7 hour drive from where I live. Mt daughter told me that there is a local computer place where I can get online access, I will check with you all soon.
Have fun!!! Having a beach house makes it even better. All this talk of vacation. I'm in need of another vacation myself (even though I just had one a couple of months ago. LOL)

So I made it to the beach. There is a new park accross the street from oour beach house. If you get a chance Goole Panama City Beach Pier park. I am in the park now in a Starbucks. This mall community is huge. Beautiful beaches for sure the weather is amazing, went to a place called Ship Werck Island today. Had a lot of fun on some great water slides.
Panama City Beach is where MTV holds one of it's Spring Break festivals every year. Lots of fun, just wanted to drop in.
Sun burnt, tired and broke is what I have been reduced to today after the short vacation to Panama City Beach. Go carts, Oysters on the half shell and Jimmy Buffets Margarita ville restaurant were just a few of the many things we enjoyed. Yep, raw oysters by the dozen.
