mmmIRC?

This post is mostly as suggestion for Lisa, but also for everyone to say if you all think if it's a good idea or no.

I was thinking that it might be a good idea to make a mIRC chat for Website Babble

. This would be good for small questions and fast answers that wouldn't be enough for whole forum thread as well as place to spend time and just.. Babble

I got personal experience that if forum also has more active form of chat it makes people more familiar with each other and also makes them more active in forum. I know that chat also sticks me more to site, so forum might get more long-term members as well.

So, what you think?

Hmmmm... I'm wondering if this forum gets enough activity for that. I had a forum on another site and the members used to setup a "meeting time" and all go in and chat. The forum had about double the activity of this one and most of the time it was empty.

I also wonder when vbulletin will incorporate that into the software. 4.0 is coming out in a few months and it would be nice if that was an option.

I prefer chats with 10-30 people. Plus-minus few doesn't matter, much more gets too crowded, and 1-5 people gets boring.

If you think not enough people would join then maybe a poll would be a good idea?
I don't think I can add it here anymore. But you know you can..

I think this is a cool idea.

It is possible to install a chat script into a subfolder and point to it. I have seem a chat set up like that at DaniWeb.com which is a very large programming/web coding forum.

May be some of the experienced members around can work out a solution.
