Default Concerning an essay I've written

Hello out there,

Like a few others, I'm starting off tremendously ignorant about setting up a website. The main thing is I would like to put on it (as a free publication) a very large essay I've written. It's over seven hundred pages and I'm wondering about the feasibility of doing this. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

Welcome Hunter,

What I would do is first convert your essay into a PDF (using Adobe Acrobat) and then you can upload that PDF to your site so people can read it from your site or download it.

Good idea there Lisa

It will be good to make a PDF. If you do it properly then you can actually get some traffic to your site, because the people that download it might refer it to their friend

Default you're going to love this...

This is going to rock your world. There is a site that allows you to post INTERACTIVE materials to your site:

http://www.scribd.com/

It's all free, just make an account, upload your document (pdf, ppt, word, excel), and it will give you the code. Place the code where you want it within your site, and there you go!

What reasons do you have in placing a large essay on your site?

There are loads of options out there and its very doable.
