I found a very nice website to find dead links. (NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK)
I stumbled upon this site called dead-links.com and it's very nice.
I tried this on my site and I discovered I had a couple of dead links. Oh, and sorry for posting it in here. I had no other place to put it in. I suggest you should add a forum for people who found informative websites. Maybe you can call it "Information Hog".
I had a really good site for doing the same thing. I had the site bookmarked, but during one of my computer crashes I lost the URL. Thanks for this links I'll go and try this one.
There is a wonderful tool that is a must have if you are a webmaster. It has an option for finding dead links, images and just about any other option you could think of. I've been using it for a couple of months now and I couldn't live without it. It only works on a few browsers but if you have Firefox then you're set.
I will use this tool in conjunction with Google webmaster tools to check my links.
Google websmaster tools show you broken links and where their spiders can't get access to
That's a very good point you raise. I recall using Google webmaster tool for finding broken links and links which Google couldn't spider. I'd forgotten about that Google service until you reminded me of it.
