Default Has anyone used PopShops?

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has tried using PopShops before? And is it as user-friendly as it looks/
Then again, I was told WordPress was easy and it wasn't very easy for me!

hey oregongal,

I have never heard of PopShops. I suppose its a blog software. However, wordpress is more popular and widely used. Most hosting companies include easy wordpress setup with their hosting. Its mostly one click set up. You specify which folder you want your wordpress blog to be in and just click setup. It will create the database and everything for you.

I use netfirms hosting which allows you to set up wordpress blog with one click. It will set up the database and the blog accordingly. They have 100+ professionally designed templates you can chose from for your blog.

For more info you can check out my web hosting review below.

Hi,

I do have Wordpress installed, I'm just not that good at utilizing it! PopShops is a free site that lets you pick from a large selection of products from different affiliates. It you just click on a product or products and then put them on your website. I haven't tried it yet, and was just wondering if anyone has used it?

Hi and welcome oregongal,

Never used them but it sounds a lot like CafePress or Shopster which work along the same principle. I've used Shopster and have had some success. The key to succeeding with all those is getting traffic.

Hopefully they educate you on actually getting visitors to your site rather than just putting up a store. I know a lot of these companies make it easy to put your store together but actually getting traffic and making money is another story.

The key to creating any Web site, whether it's a blog or a commercial site requires time and effort to succeed. I have used Shopster, but will be stopping due to the fact that I don't have enough free time. I did learn a lot about Web site promotion when I was actively using Shopster.

I am an affiliate of Shopster, but I have decided to only become an affiliate with a Web site that I have had a good experience with.

I'll have to check out those other sites also. I'm learning that it really does take work to get a decent website or blog going. And, of course getting the traffic, although there's so much information from those with experience that it's not too hard to get some help.

I get stuck on the keyword research myself.

Default PopShops Affiliate Tool

Hey Oregongal,

I seem to be the only one who knows what PopShops is. I installed the pro version last night and have already setup 3 stores. Two of my stores were placed on Wordpress sites and I found the WP Plugin very easy to use and self explanatory. It is one of the easiest affiliate tools I have used.

The main features I like are the ability to use php or html to help store SEO. My blogs usually get indexed daily and the results end up in search results the next day, much better than the 3-4 months it takes to get indexed on a static website.

Along with my popshop, I use content services to keep articles fresh and up to date on my blogs. If you are a serious affiliate, I would recommend paying the $30 dollars a month and get the pro version.

Good luck with your endeavors!
