Hello everyone,
I am willing to start a website which will be promoting other graphics designing firms . I have been a freelance desginer for sometime now and its been a while since I have left it due to boredom and lack of skill . Now, I want to start my own website with this Affiliate Marketing thing and I need you peopls help from where to get started and search engine optimization things . For this , I am willing to give the required time and effort on this and make some profit if possible, and profit is not mandatory also ; I can work my ping-pong off for the fun of having a successful website only .

Its going to take a lot of reading to learn affiliate marketing & SEO which are two different fields.

I'd start by reading through Lisa's how to create a site. Even though you may already know the basics she does provide a lot of tips about affiliate marketing & SEO so its a good start.

Also, study the articles over at SEOMOZ, although they can get really technical at times there is a lot of good stuff to study. Actually this article is a good start also.

I would like to give a bit of advice from my own personal experience relating to affiliate marketing.

To do well in this field you need to have a lot of traffic coming to your website inorder for you to start making sales from your banner ads and the like. Without much traffic its difficult to make it in affiliate marketing.
