Default should i wait?

Right as some of you may know I have just made a new Iphone/Ipod touch blog which I am still generating traffic too and trying to make it work, building up making a forum. But I want to make a PHP learning site and I post to it as I learn which I think will work it will all be fresh in my mind and they can follow my progress. Do you think it is to much to build this at the same time, should I wait for a bit or go for it now while I am still only at the basic PHP.

Thanks,
Steve

Millions of inventions are not brought to the surface because of pro - crastination... I do NOT understand the point of where the PRO comes from in that word as to me pro is something good...

If you go full bore with your ideas and thoughts you may teach a valued lesson of how to fail, as without failure there is no hope of suck sess...

People have to stop being so critical of themselves at times as I was reminded just recently of my inbreeding of being a perfectionist.

If you do not understand how to fail, one will not understand the business world...

GO FOR IT and others will discover your screw up and learn better and faster with you...

Unless you wish to be a professional waiter...

Sometimes things happen as the list I have planned out for today has changed a little, and had to shuffle the priorities around some...

To me the world is set on priorities and change at a whim. I planned to get more done with the site this morn but found myself installing the satellite dish higher because of a tree branch has been in the way for 2 years now... So my procrastination has turned into a priority...

EDIT: Just because you can work on doing it does not mean you have to publish your work...

Steve,

I think it depends on whether the new PHP website will distract you away from your iPod/iPhone website. While it could be distracting or diluting your efforts across multiple projects, some people work better if they have more than one thing to work on (i.e. taking a break from working on one website to work on the other). So it depends what works best for you.

My suggestion, however, is to focus on the iPhone/iPod projects first until it's up and running and getting traffic. You can always go back to your PHP idea later. I understand your point that your website visitors would want to follow your progress in PHP, but honestly, if I were looking for specific PHP information, I would look for specifically what I am looking and I may not be concerned with the progress per se. Does this make sense?

Also, look at other PHP websites and tutorials (like php-learn-it.com, w3schools.com, and others), see what they have done, and figure out what your angle would be, and based on that you can decide if you want/can spend the time away from your iPhone/iPod website to work on the PHP website.

Hope all this made sense and helpful.

Sherif
