Hi all, I am new to this forum. However I should say that it was through Lisa's 2create website that I landed on SBI and started building my first website. Anyway I am developing another concept which will use the help of a programmer. And here are my questions.

How can I safely consult with a programmer, developer, wed designer or any other professional that I will need their service and at the same time safe guard my idea so that they don’t run with it and go and develop it?

My other question is I that I may need help in financing my idea, how and when can I begin to pitch this idea to people who might be interested to invest in it.

Perhaps you could do some looking on Elance.com or RentACoder.com. There are freelance programmers there & you could just put out feelers without giving away the farm.

I haven't done any of that but I believe you can hire one of them with a contract that would protect your interests. Good luck.
