Terrific. You do a lot of good work and I know you have the talent. I have no reason to believe you wouldn't have the other requisites to make this a great project, either. My comments come from the business side which I know better than from the computer side.
The primary focus you need here is to publish only what you know to be factual and be ready to really tell it like it is without regard to who you are writing about. In other words, real integrity. You cannot fake it, or ever show any sign of favoritism or prejudice. If you do that you will be able to build the reputation that will build the site.
You have already indicated in your own comments why most of the available information is not respected. While content is king, as is said, in this case you want to be conscious that it is better to have less content IF NECESSARY at times rather than put out something you cannot back up fairly. Always keep this at the front of your mind because only one slip can cause terrible damage to a reputation.
Once you have a good start on content focus marketing on the reliability of your content. That is what will cause others to reference your site. You should do well.
