Help on centering 3-column layout in browser

Hi Lisa,

First an foremost this is truly a great site and I enjoy being a member of this site. Now for the business... I used one of your templates for a 3-colum layout, which is the code I've generated below:

Now I am having problems with centering the laout in the browser. Can you please tell me what I need to change to make this happen. I have tried the "align="center" attribute and it did not work.

Hi Rashid,

Just replace this line of code:

<table border="1" width="780" height="800" cellspacing="0" bordercolor="red" cellpadding="5">

With this:

<table width="780" height="800" border="1" align="center" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" bordercolor="red">

Or you could probably just add align="center" in there anywhere.

I just re-read your thread, replacing that line should work. Make sure you clear your browser's cache before checking it, sometimes it will simply revert to the stored version and you will not see changes.
When you inserted align="center" you only did it with quotes around center, correct?
Sorry if these sound like simple suggestions or questions, I just don't know what your level of experience is and the forum gets every range.

If none of those things help, please let me know and we'll figure it out.

Hey Rashid,

I'm assuming Zyon's page is the one you are working on. I would change your link colors, they are almost the same color as the blue background and makes them very difficult to see (They are the same on all your pages). Also you can change the page color to the same blue so the center does not show up on a white background page. I don't know if that is what you want or not.
Check back in a little bit and I'll post up a script for a guestbook, seems to be something a couple people are interested in. I'll let you know when I post it.
