I am looking to start a travel website. I want someone to design a travel website or choose from travel website designs or travel website free templates. I have friends who are making a lot of money in the travel affiliates website business and I want to do the same. Does anyone have any idea that can help me out? First of all, welcome to Website Babble!

Now, in regards to your website: do you have any html experience and you're looking for an html template, or are you looking into hiring someone to design the website for you?

Also, on a slightly different note, do you have an idea of what your website will be about? I know that you said you wanted to start the website in the travel industry, but this is a huge market and the competition is pretty fierce.

Were you thinking about a general travel site or a more specialized travel site (e.g. a travel website for people who love rock climbing, or those who want to have a destination wedding, etc).

Think about a specific group of people you want to target your website to. I would highly advise against making a travel website for everyone who wants to travel... first of all, the amount of work you will be tremendous, and secondly, there are 100 websites like that... but even if that's what you want to do, that's totally fine as long as you have a unique spin that would be attractive than what's out there. Think about what you could offer that travelocity.com, for example, doesn't. Do you know what I mean?

To help you get started... you mentioned you have several friends who are very successful in the travel industry. If each of them has a different website, think about who the audience is for each of their websites. Are they all the same? are they specialized or general travel websites?

Also, are there other motivators for you to start a travel website other than the fact that you have friends who are making a lot of money in the travel industry. As long as people are buying products, you can make money in any industry that you can think of, so it's important to start a website about something you're interested in, that way, it will be easier to write articles, promote, maintain, etc.
