Default Beginner needs help!

I have owned an automotive parts store for 12 years and I do not have a website. I just want to get startred with a very basic site where I can describe my business and maybe list a few items I have. Eventually I would like to set up a site and list my complete inventory where people could purchase any time. I don't know where to start. I have been told to open a store on Ebay, I have heard good and bad about stores. I have also seen sites for as little as $4.75 a month. I am very confused. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks

Default Yes its true!

Hi,

I think you are really missing a revenue stream for your business. I think you should do both. Have an eBay store as well as have a full fledged website. I dont agree with an idea of having a basic website and then upgrading it to a full ecommerce website instead i suggest hire a professional web developer and get a full fledged website done. I am suggesting this because it is very annoying when people will see your stuff on your "basic" website and to buy that stuff they have to call a number or note down an address and in the process you losing customers.

About your second point, yes you can get a website done for as little as $4 a month plus hire a web developer who will charge you in the area of around $400 to $500 and you have a full functional website done.

Ofcourse you need to take effort or hire an expert for search engine optimization to get traffic and actual buyers to your website. PPC programs like Google Adwords can also help you in this regard. Adwords is known to be very effective in certain sectors.

I also do this professionally and can help you build a website, install it on a web host as well as search engine optimize your website. You can contact me on my email at pranavsbhat [at] gmail [dot] com

Thanks and all the best!
