Default Creating a site...

I am creating a little site before i create my major one w/SBI. I want to see what you think about my domain.

In my area, we have a lot of casinos and the hottest game is poker. I was amazed to see there are only 37k sites on poker rooms in tunica, so I bought the domain www.Tunicapokerrooms.com and I am building a site at Godaddy.com.

My idea is to take all the casinos in Tunica that have poker rooms and create an informative website informing users what poker games are played at each casino(ex. Hold'em, Omaha..etc) as well as poker tournamets and betting structures.

In addition, I will put on the site articles about bankroll management, strategies on playing in tournaments, poker terms and other information.

Also, I thought I would put up instructions on how to play each of the major games.

It suprised me that the casinos and other local poker sites information on their poker rooms were not extensive and I thought this may be a good site.

If this does well, I will create another site called www.Dogeatdogpoker.com that has information on other poker rooms in major cities.

What do you think?

Dang I love Texas Hold'em.
Yeah a Casino website would be cool with trustable information of each casino and their games. Just be careful not to put bad information of casinos because you can get in trouble with the owners (that's what I think).
Also would be cool if you try and investigate what's the biggest amount of money a person has got, how many times people win good amount of money, etc. So people when they check your website they say "Hey, in Le Flavel Casino more people has won than in DS Casino, perhaps I should try on Le Flavel because my chances to win might be higher.

Default Top notch idea!

While I wouldn't be a fan (personally I oppose gambling of any kind), if you want a view from the outside I would say you have a winner--if you provide good content and work hard to develop the traffic.

The primary reason I would rank it high is that it would have an unusually large potential for monetization.

Lol I also don't like gambling. Max I put when I'm with friends are $20 pesos (Mex) which equals like $2 USD.

I like your idea's, however casino and betting games are moving up in google and I guarantee you would never win the keyword or 'casino' or something similar, but you've narrowed it down I suppose.

I know when I watch TV there are always casino adverts advertising online poker games/information etc, as long as you shorten down your keywords into specific sentences and phrases you should do well, and of course provide quality information about the casinos.

Have you had any personal experience with these casinos could you review them, install Wordpress and have that alongside your main site so you can post up any news or updates around Tunica. Make sure too apply your unique touch and have a look at your competitors to see what they are not doing.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replys.

Rob, I have played poker(esp hold'em) close to 15 years at the casinos in Tunica Ms and I have played at other places in the US.

I called a couple of the Poker Room Managers and they were excited that I was building this site and have invited me down there to come speak with them . I am not sure where it will lead but I hope it is a possitive result.

I don't have any exp in Word Press. This is my first site to build, but I am a hard worker and will look in to Word Press so I can learn it. No doubt, I will hit this forum for any problems I have but it really isnt as big of a project as one might think. I have all my info saved on Word. All I need to do now is go to the casinos and obtain the info on the type of poker games they offer..ie STT, MTT and ring games. Also, I am not focusing on on-line poker, but I hope they will advertise. My focus is on the poker rooms at the casinos...ie live play.

As always, I really appreciate the advice and guidance from this forum. I am off work for the next few weeks so I plan to knock this out ASAP. Barring any complications, I hope to show it to you guys soon and look forward to your input.

You folks are the best...
