I think the idea is great. It could bring a big surge of traffic if you happen to hate on someone who just did something stupid enough to be on the news.

I think people would read your stuff... people love to read this kind of stuff, which could explain the huge success of websites like tmz, perezhilton, dirtyscottsdale.com, etc.

I know your website would not necessarily have a gossipy angle, but I think trash-talking would definitely attract an audience!
