The important thing to do when you have too many ideas is to get organized. If you organize the ideas into various subjects you may find it easier to develop the ideas into web sites.

Developing pages for a web site is fairly easy to do, once you get the hang of it. HTML is meant to be easy to learn.

Sometimes I find have too many ideas is much easier than having no ideas.

... a learning process indeed. just learning something simple step-by-step is the way to go. do it at your own pace. me for example... i can never get motivated at home. i can never come up with the ideas or topics. so, i finally found this really cool cafe that i go to where, because of the atmosphere i guess, i become so motivated and the ideas come out of nowhere. it's about 15 min. from where i live, but to get some content and a place to concentrate? it's worth it. i've also met alot of great people there, mostly college students.

i guess when you're surrounded by people who are busy at studying and learning, your mind becomes at ease and follows through with what everyone else is doing.

so don't be overwhelmed... i didn't know one thing about web design, but i'm trying and learning more each day... alot of it from this website because of the great people here. one word of advice, if you're ever stuck, just ask. find something you like, then just write about it. don't worry about the design yet... just keep writing. then, when you think you're finished (5-20 pages or so), then come back here and we'll all help. good luck!

(and i implemented few of my old ideas which now just collecting dust). The disappointing thing is, i know i can do them but i don't have the time. Being a professional developer, having the professional knowledge to build web applications and being young (full of testosterones and energy) is i guess bad. You know too much which means you have high expectations from yourself but can't deliver as fast due to due to lack of time and commitment. My dilemma is that, i've a full time web development job which I sort of enjoy. But what i really want to do is work on my ideas and turn them useful products that people are happy to use and form my own company around my inventions. What do you guys do when you have too much on your brain? Its a bad trait for not being able to focus on the task at hand. How would you tackle this problem?

Whoa! Doesn't sound like too much energy to me. Sounds more like too much ADD. I'm not kidding. You might wanna go see someone.

Apart from that, you need to pick a task your passionate about (make a list and do eeniemeenieminiemo if you have to) and do NOT let yourself begin something new until you have the original task on a very solid base.
