Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can build a family tree to add to my website? I want to be able to build a family tree on my website, and be able to add to it as I find more information about my family.

uhhhm... if it's just a simple family tree.. you can have it as an image... a tree with your family's picture... but yeah, more infos are necessary so that we will be able to know what kind of FAMILY tree you are trying to build..

I believe it should be images with blogs inside.
Do not try to make it difficult, remember all genius things are simple.

If you have office 2003 or above at work you might have Visio. I think Visio is a good tool that can create what you are looking for.

Another thought....even PowerPoint can do the same. Once you are done save as image rather than the native.

If you dont have MS Office, try the free Star Office from Sun. It also has a presentation creator.

Well there is always the option of creating your own tree with dreamweaver. I often fiddle with different programs to see what I can do and how. That works too

I'm actually looking into creating a family tree also. I'm looking into something very in-depth, as this would be effectively a translation from Family Tree Maker to the web.

At a glance, it seems that there are many webscripts available that would effectively do the layout for you provided you put in your family information.

you can build an photo with your family and than in dreamweaver clip them.
select fore example: clip your mum and when somebody sckrol with mouse on your mum they can click on her and see informations about her.
bu you have to make a infomation page for her to do something like that.
