I have my idea, now I need to put it into action. Can you give me step by step advice on what should Ido next to create my website..

i take it you already have a web host for your site? Design your site the way you want it, or you can get a template and mod it to your likings. i have found the using filezilla is great for uploading content to your site. i could help out more later but i have to go for a bit. hope this helps so far.

I suggest you download Joomla http://www.joomla.org/ content management system. There are loads of tutorials how to install and operate it.

I think the only problem withthat is that your domain is something like
www.joomla.your site.com
not really sure, but something like that

If you install Joomla on your own domain then you can install it in whatever folder you like and control the address of your site. Most web hosting companies allow you to install it through your hosting control panel.

I tested Joomla a while back and didn't like it. I'm sure once you take the time to learn it then it's probably very cool. At first glance, it wasn't very intuitive. Although I didn't spend much time on it.

If you have the skill to install and host a php/mysql based site I would recommend WordPress! Otherwise you should be using a sitebuilder like ours.
