Default How Can I Stand Apart?

I am planning to start a website for frugal living. I have purchased my domain name. It will consist of my affiliate networks. I plan to offer coupons, gift cards, frugal living tips, recipes, articles, contests, etc. What I have found with many of these types of sites is that the gift cards require you to complete a zillion offers and I never really find any coupons for what I use in my family. I have found a few mom friendly and coupon affiliate networks that I like.

My question is, how can I stand out from all of the other frugal sites out there? What can I offer that they don't? How can I make mine better than the others and also make money from my affiliate networks? Thanks for your suggestions!

Hi Kenyatta,

I think other than just offering coupons, you should also focus your site around specific information. So I would choose a very specific niche first -- let's say the theme of your site is "How to Save on Grocery Shopping." I think the problem with a lot of other coupon sites is that all they offer are coupons. And if you want to get search engine traffic, it's best to make sure your site has a theme other than just "frugal tips" or "coupons" because these two topics are too generic.

As far as standing out, the best thing to do is look at some of these sites you are referring to and see what they are missing. If this is something you're really into in your own life, look for tips you use that these other sites don't offer and see if you can come up with more ideas.

That's sort of what I do with any site I create. I research what's out there and then also draw upon my own personal experiences to make the site more personal and unique.
