Yeah anyways i made a website woweeza.com and i have the name but i didnt think before buying it I DIDNT HAVE A NICHE!!!!! Plus i only bought it for 2 months as that is all i can afford. and it only has 5 pages grrrrr

I need a niche and the first one i did was a page with book reviews on. i got easily bored and carried on, next i changed to how to write a book but i didnt think i was gonna generate enough traffic, i hav had good ideas but i dont have the expetese or money to do it. Hi Sam and your thread was not boring...the site looks great and to be honest, a domain is not as important these days as the content of site and the marketing behind it. I am a little confused about the whole 2 month thing though...if you bought a domain or a site then don't you own it until you let it expire? I would need more info on what you are trying to say in that regard. I am also a guitar player and have been playing for 34 years. There's a ton of guitar sites but we could always use one more... So, basically, don't worry about the name of the site...pick a niche that interests you and that you could develop into something of interest to others...then figure out how to monetize it if you want...your age may prove to be a barrier at this time of your life but there may ways around it...ie: father's/mother's permission and such...that though is something to consider after the site is on it's way to being a long standing site. I hope this helps. Take care and I look forward to hearing more about what you do. All the best.

Default Great story!

You sound like a terrific kid. Glad to have you getting into the web site business at your age. You are bound to do well.

Two things. First, as you have noted, everyone talks about finding your niche, something you are passionate about. The guitar may be one for you. The reason this is so important can be seen in your own experience. Becoming successful here means years of involvement which is easy if you love what you are doing and impossible if it isn't.

Second, at least until you learn a lot more and develop your skills a bit you might want to go with a free site. Most contributors here discourage that, and I do too, but there are exceptions to the rule in everything. In this case, until you learn what you need to learn in order to pay your way it might be a good approach.
