You don't have to. It's just nice if you want to use includes.

To add borders, find the section in the stylesheet that you want to add borders to and add the appropriate border properties (i.e. leftnav).
HTML Code:
border-right-width: thin;
border-bottom-width: thin;
border-right-style: dashed;
border-bottom-style: dashed;
border-right-color: #000000;
border-bottom-color: #000000;
You might find this link helpful to learn how to do different things. For example if you want to learn how to add a border, find border on the page and it gives you the code. Now add that code to the appropriate section in the stylesheet (i.e. header, leftnav, etc.)

Thanks for the link lisa!

I could find whatever I need there...

Except...

How do you add the lines between the buttons in the navbar?

Thanks,
jimm

Hey JIM!

I think having arm building will get you more visits. Upper body building already has a lot of sites etc. I can't think of any sites that was dedicated to just arm building and trust me about 6 months ago I did a lot of research because I was going to do a muscle site but then I came to my senses and thought what am i doing i don't the first thing about it lol. Best of luck!

lol, i've been debating with myself about that topic...upper body or arms?

I mean...

upper body: arms, back, abs

or just arms...

really hard to decide. Probably doing arms though.

Thanks for the reply!

Jim see my last reply. Those lines are simply a bottom border attribute in the leftnav section as I described above. So you'd use that code in the #leftnav section. For example
HTML Code:
border-bottom-width: thin;
.....

creates a bottom border. To add a color to the border...

HTML Code:
border-bottom-color: #a84848;
