Default My New YouLaughTube Site

As some of you may know, my You Laugh Tube site was my practice site for adsense. Well, I didn't do a great optimization job on it, but for some reason the ranking keeps getting better and so does the money.

I am currently building my first SBI! site which is dealing with my weight loss success. But I want to capitalize on the little momentum the You Laugh Tube site has generated. Any ideas on what I can add to it. Here are some of the ideas I am going to add.
  • Jokes (text)
  • Street joke videos that I will go downtown and ask people what their favorite joke is
  • Funny stories from viewers
  • Funny photos
  • Funny impressions

Any ideas on what else I can include?

That's great to hear about your site. Have you ever thought about sending out a "joke of the day" type of thing? This is a way to collect emails and stay in communication with your readers. The Tummy Tip of the Week newsletter that I send on my SBI! site has really gone over well. I use AWeber so it's not free but well worth the $20/month because you set the emails up in advance and let them run on autopilot.

Thought about putting videos of professional comedians like Dane Cook and other top stand up comedians. Im not sure if you would want to put this on your site but maybe even some tips on how to be a funny person.. give tips on how to brake the ice at family get together and what not, Get what i mean? Also i was wondering if you would share how much your site is making? if no that totally cool.

hope i could be of some help in the brain storming

I can't feature any comedians without permission. However, there are lots of videos by comedians that I use quite frequently.

No, I don't mind telling, because it's not a LOT. In about 6 months of this "test" site, I have made my first $100 from Google. Although that is not a lot of money, if you look at my site, there is not a lot of content. Actually no content. The only thing I have on there are the YouTube videos and the search engine spiders can't read the videos. I think it is amazing that I made that amount with such a poorly build site. So, now I know the potential for this to be a great money making site is huge. My Alexa rating has improved by 250,000 in the last month.

There are mainly 3 things that helped me reach that first $100 goal:
1. My e-mail alerts to subscribers
2. My link on this forum and other sites
3. Word of mouth

If I optimize the site, I will probably triple this production within a few more months. And if I add affiliates, I can capitalize even further.

Thanks for the suggestions.

If you search a video and click on it, u will find an embed code in the discription. Copy that and paste it on any page that supports HTML Good luck!
