hi
i want to start designing my site.i use notepad for my html coding.the following are the questions that i have;
1.how do i save my first file so that i can use filezila to upload it?
2.i only know html for now,will it make me a cool site till i learn how to use the other codes?

After you finish with your page do a "File", "Save As" and make sure you change the drop down to "All Files" in the "Save As" menu so it doesn't save it as file.txt.html It should save it as file.html.

Then from there, open Filezilla and navigate to the directory where the file is saved and upload it to your site from there.

You can still do a lot with HTML, but I would recommend at least learning some CSS or finding a template with CSS. You can do so much more and your site will be easier to manage.

Oh and here is somthing some people dont know when they start is the homepage or front page is called index.html

Save file as html. you can do this by using save as option in notepad. Then you should have hosting space to upload your files. There are lot of html only sites out there. Its up to you to decide whether to keep site html only or rich contents..
