Default Automatic Sites

What up everybody...I read one of Lisa's post/blogs/ or something and she said her fitness site was on auto-pilot and that she rarely updates it. I currently have just started a website that will never be on auto-pilot, and that's my main focus. The more I learn from you guys the more ideas I get, but of course, I have to hold them at bay until the first site is more stable...but I do jot lil personal notes for future ref....

The question....how many of you guys have sites on auto-pilot? I would like to in the future have a couple of sites on auto for ...yes...the money...My main site isn't just money focused. I'm passionate about it...but I must admit that my other ideas, that I feel would be some great niche's for me, would be just for the money....and I know that isn't bad as long as I put in the hard work needed to get it to auto pilot status.

So please share...1 Hunnid

It's been my experience that it takes quite a while to get a site to where it can be on autopilot. If you're lucky enough to have a niche where you can drive traffic from SEO alone, you should still be doing work to make sure that position is defensible. Just because it's on autopilot today doesn't mean it'll still be making money tomorrow.

The one site I have on autopilot is only in that state because it makes enough so I can pay people to maintain it...hehe. Let a site sit around long enough, and in most cases, the traffic will decline.

As Ricardog mentioned, it does take time and effort to put a site on "autopilot". Some sites, such as technology sites, will probably never be on autopilot as they need to stay up-to-date.

I manage a blog that will also never be on autopilot. Blogs need to be updated on a frequent basis or traffic (and subscriber count) will quickly decline.

So true Ricardog! Both of my main sites are pretty much on autopilot but I still work on them constantly (well I must admit I've been slacking on my SBI! site lately...) Things change out here so quickly and you have to keep up and continue to build new content or your traffic will die.

What worked one day may not work tomorrow. What didn't work yesterday may be the top method tomorrow.Thing is you gotta enjoy what your doin'. Sow the seeds of hard work and dedication. Reap a harvest of success. But you got to be patient.
