I recently started looking into making money online.. I am 18 years old and have been going to college for two years now. Of course, I am very ambitious.. lol. So I made the mistake of going way against my instincts and signed up for some ridiculous survey offer that costs me a one time fee of $39. Of course it didn't pay off, as I was too impatient and am not sure it would work to begin with, as I have had problems with surveys in the past. Next came rebates.. I had learned from my mistakes though, finding out that the real revenue came from a sort of affiliate marketing. So, I went to the source and started reading up on exactly what affiliate marketing is. Of course I am still not 100% sure, I managed to stumble on [Lisa]'s website. (She must be good at what she does! lol)
Anyways, I read quite a few pages [Lisa] had, trying to learn as much as I could, and was especially intrigued by Google Adsense, mostly because it DOES make sense to me. But then I started thinking, what could I POSSIBLY have to teach others. I have a lot of knowledge, but mostly basic knowledge, and like [Lisa] said I cannot become the next Yahoo and give a little information on a lot of things. Of course that was probably the best advice I have heard all day, and it makes total sense. So what I started to think of next was a particular subject. And I realized that I search the internet a lot, and what I really loved was something I feel I could contribute to. Dance.
My thoughts were like this.. A lot of people dance, whether it is a school dance or a club, yet many people just go with the flow. While there is nothing wrong with that, going to a dance and not really knowing what to do is somewhat nerve-racking, and I admit that I was afraid to go to them myself. As I got older, I realized how much I wanted to learn from movies such as Stomp the Yard. I wanted to dance like the people in the movies, I wanted to be good, I wanted to be able to express my feelings for music as well as look cool at the same time. So began my search online.. most of my moves came from other peoples own freestyling videos.. there were some tutorials, but it was pretty rough trying to get a real grip on it.. and the sites that show up on google were next to useless to me. But, through work I was able to learn quite a bit and at the very least enough to wow my friends. I am still learning, and have not paid for a single class. (Although I will be sure to recommend people learn the proper way!)
While I am hardly qualified to TEACH to dance, but I do know quite a bit about basics, do and don'ts, theories and such. How to make preliminary videos should they want to get into the dancing community more, what hitting on beats really is and such. It is a topic I get excited about, and the thought of teaching others or helping them learn at least, intrigues me quite a bit.
So I had a couple questions..
First off, I was wondering what type of estimated traffic a well organized site containing detailed information on how to learn to dance on the internet, as well as basic concepts of forms, and history, would receive. Of course I am still planning it out, and I am not the greatest dancer as you can see if you want to look at some of my videos on youtube *
http://www.youtube.com/user/DMSEafm* (although those were made within a month of when I first started). I feel like I could help with perspective, where to start off, and good resources of where to learn. I would welcome any opinions if anyone would be nice enough to offer them.
*I was thinking of a url such as
www.dance-free-online.com or
www.dance-basics-online.com* Although they both sound cheesy, I agree with the keywords idea.
Would really like to know if it is a good topic to start with. Thank you for you time!
