Default Artist Needs Help!!

Hi !! Hope everyone is well. I could really use some help here, please assist anyway that you can, I have wrecked my brain into a daily headache! Question: I have a really nice T-shirt that I designed. I've sold some to quite a few folks (different races), from all over the USA and abroad. People always ask the wearer of the T, "where did you get that,..I'd like to have one"? Dilema: I want to market this on the web as a solo item (but I may also market the print and the notecards that go with it too). I want to market it now! What do you suggest as marketing this as a solo item? I'll use paypal. I had thought about a sitesell site ,but at this point, I don't have anything to "fill" up the pages. Or would you all think that I could come up with some content (and affilates) around my T-Shirt? Really, I'd like to wait until I have alot of art (although I could build on it,..but I want to market them NOW). Another thing, Sitesell is going to take some time to do it right, and correctly.I Want to sell them now. Note: I have thought about MySpace and blogs (?) to promote it. What's the quickest way? I am uncertain. Come on and help this newbie out, it's appreciated. Help, if you can, please! Thanks a million

Well there are sites which let you to submit your design and they will print it to T-shirts, cups.. all kind of stuff. All you would have to do is find people to buy the stuff, lead them to your e-shop and everything else from printing to shipping will be taken care for you.

If you print design yourself and want to do everything 100% too then I would suggest to get more designs, like 15-20 and then start making these. Set up a simple e-shop script and start a shop.

I'm not too experienced with selling e-goods online but have you heard of cafepress.com? I've heard they are good for these kinds of ecommerce sites.

Default Thanks For The Response

Hi!

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have heard of cafe express. The only thing about that is that you have to use their resources, therefore some of the profit would be cut into. But this still maybe an option, because at least its somewhat a 'turn-key' deal. Have a nice day

Mm.. If you want to do professional T-Shirts that wont wear out with 1-2 washes you need to invest some. You need to buy this.. machine, I don't know how much it costs, Probably 100-200$?
This machine simply heats the paper so the design will stick to the shirt.

Then you also need to print your designs onto special "Release paper" or something like that, costs 50 cents to 1.50$ each, depending on how much you order and how many colors etc.

And of course a T-shirt

I've also been thinking to make some T-shirts with my own design. But just for myself and friends if they want to. But all the cheaper methods seem to be kinda pointless, too messy and shirt will only last few washes if you're lucky. And buying all that equipment for few T-shirts ain't worth it. But if you want to start selling these and get all the profit possible then this is what you probably want to do.

This way you can make shirts really fast too. Like 1 shirt every 15 seconds or so.

Default Cafepress and others

Aquablue...Remember, Cafepress is free, and so is e-shirts, and about a half a dozen other online T stores. Make a shop with each of them for your design and start selling them. You will reach more people faster by having their backing/association. Once you are showing a decent profit, then you can think about printing them up yourself. But please understand, that you can mark up your own profit as much as you want. The cost of making the shirts yourself will take a serious bite out of your profit. I make $5 a t-shirt. Given the cost of self production would be, I am quite happy with that, because the only effort I need to make, is to draw the design, upload it, and it's done.
