Default Windows 7!

I was able to get a look at Windows 7 a few days ago from one of the IT Managers at my job and it looks really good so far. The installation time was less than 30 minutes. New look, features, short-cuts, etc. Being a IT tech, it seems to be easier to troubleshoot and fix issues such as not being able to connect wirelessly, connecting to the internet, etc. I really like this a lot. and I also notice that Windows 7 boots up to the desktop very quickly too.

Although I'm sure there will be some glinches like with any new operating system that comes out, I think Windows 7 will be much better and stable than Windows Vista - hopefully--

I am a big fan of Windows 7, found it to be very good, much better than Vista.
I'm still using XP but did test the beta & RC edition and found it to use less resources than XP which was a very big surprise.
The only issue I had with it wasn't really the OS'es because it was down to the drivers that were from third parties.

Going to install Windows 7 over the Xmas Holidays when I have more time

I haven't tried Windows 7 yet but it will be interesting to see how it compares.

I'm excited about Windows 7 because I never left XP. My understanding is that my softwares can all run in XP mode of Windows 7.

Hopefully it will be the next XP. They have had their best results after their biggest failures in my opinion. Look at ME as being the flop that took them from the 16 bit world of 98/2000 to XP. Maybe Vista was the flop that will take them from the 32 bit world of XP to the 64 bit world of Windows 7.

I have only seen it being installed and the GUI seemed to resemble the "Media Server" GUI of XP. I am interested in playing with it...
