Default I love what I did today.

Now don't get me wrong.. I have been diving for years now and I have loved every second of it. The type of diving I normally do is warm saltwater in places like florida and the such. Reef diving if you will. That probably is still my most favorite but today I did something new with diving.

I went pearl diving in freshwater. That was a blast. It's like when saltwater diving and you find something cool like a silver coin or something neat down there, or a really close up encounter with a shark, it's the same feeling when you are down in freshwater and you find a huge shell that may or may not contain a pearl. It was a blast. You never know if you are going to find one.

From what I am gathering on the web, if you find a good sized nature made pearl that has good luster, color, and shape, you can sell these things for quite some change. Many thousand dollars. I'd probably keep my first one but hey, nothing beats freshwater diving for nature made pearls. It was so much fun. I'll keep going back for more.

Just thought I would share that with the babblers. Haha!

Wow! Now that sounds very exciting. I'm too big of a chicken to ever try something like this but I love hearing stories about people who are brave enough to do it. Very cool way to spend the Labor Day weekend!

Yeah it's a lot of fun. I was scared at first of diving. I mean, people naturally are scared of what they do not know. But..... You get used to it.

Sounds interesting, but I still can't have the guts to try it out! Still sounds scaring for me!

Sounds like you had a blast !

One of my childhood chores was doing the dishes....my grandmother used to tell me it was "time to go pearl diving." Your post reminded me of that.

Good luck and find lots of pearls.
