The shows are paid for. They are paid by ads hosted on the mirror sites. Some of the mirror sites require you complete ads before viewing. Some pay themselves. I guess if you wanted to realllly dig into this, you can go to all of the sites that stream and check their policy etc. And honestly what does it even matter? Unless you work for these tv stations and are trying to shut those websites down, what does it matter that I watch tv on my laptop to anyone. But like I said, surfthechannel is not illegal. It doesn't host anything. It links.
To go even further, the site is hosted in spain. Check their laws on this.
They even say this: This site does not host, provide, archive, store, distribute or purport to disseminate material or media of any kind, and acts merely as an index (or catalogue) of media posted by others outside of our control. (To prove a point).
Now to go even deeper, I can do this all night

, they state this: SurfTheChannel takes matters of Intellectual Property very seriously and is committed to meeting the needs of content owners while helping them manage publication of their content online. It should be noted that SurfTheChannel is a simple search engine of videos available at a wide variety of third party websites.
Now if this is worth going into a law and order type of debate, let me know and I shall delve deeper into the pits of commercial rights and piracy laws.
But as of now, the site stands clear of all accusations. The mirror links I cannot guarentee. But that isn't what the post was originally about. The original post was strictly about surfthechannel.
Cheers!
