My word of the day today would be PASSED, as I had an issue with my son's English test result where "passed" and "past" had to be inserted into a sentence in the correct places, and he put them into the correct places, I think, and it was marked as wrong. I've particularly chosen the word "passed" and not "past" because, although he did well with a result of 35 out of 40, had he just just failed, those two extra marks he should have received would have meant that he would have "passed".

I'm going to try put it all behind me though, as long the teacher rectifies all the papers so that everyone receives a fair mark. A few months down the line from now, it will all be just one of those things in my "past".

I have always liked the word meander
I also like the word estuary

One day I was walking down the middle of a shallow meandering river when suddenly I found myself in an estuary
