Your favourite decade in music?
I can't stand 99.9 % of music on the radio today, in fact I think its just noise, Im always going back in years to find music I like
My favourite era is probably early eighties till about 85. If you look at the billboard hits on wikipedia, they are all classics just about
After that it gets too gimmicky pop..
So what era of music are you into?

Music has gotten so crappy lately. Ugh, it's so annoying. I'm an R&B fan mostly so I loved the early 90's groups like Boyz II Men, En Vogue, Jodeci, SWV, etc. and I do listen to pop once and a while (Yes I was a New Kids on The Block fan LOL) but I also enjoyed some of the 80's music as well.
I was raised on Motown music (50's and 60's) thanks to my parents so that would probably be my 2nd favorite era, even though it was before my time.

The 1980s by far I'm into British indie rock of that time.
I love The Smiths, The Cure, The Stone Roses, The Jam, The Clash, and so on.
I wish I could have physically witnessed some of those bands in action
Oh and yes... generally speaking, these new bands around now are useless...

I grew up in the alternative rock movement of the 90s, but my favorite decade by far would have to be the british rock invasion of the 60s.

Hiya
I have to agree with you, I can't stand the music of today. I love the 80's era. I was more into Michael Jackson, Cindy Lauper, Madonna, also into the 80's rock. AC/DC, GUN'S & ROSES, METALLICA, KISS, TWISTED SISTER,MOTLEY CRUE, OZZY, LOL This took me back. Cool
Thanks

Twisted Sister always takes me back to the early 80's when I was a little kid. I am not a fan of hard rock or heavy metal but for some reason the videos would entertain me. Anyway, back in the day when MTV actually played videos instead of reality shows (Anyone remember that? LOL) I remember loving to watch Twisted Sister's video "We're Not Going to Take it!". It was kinda creepy but I was mezmerized by that video for some reason.

No idea. I guess they get a better viewership from reality shows. So much for "Music Television!"

The Seventies Man.....
I love the seventies groups such as Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, The Eagles, The Doors, John Lennon, Paul Mcartney, The Police, Chicago, Pink Floyd, Commodores and many more. The Music was fabulous, and exciting. You could cry, dance, love, trip, and be totally mesmerized with these groups. I know this is a cliche... "but no one makes music like that anymore".

Lisa, I liked the Twisted Sister video We Aint Gonna Take It as well. A week or two ago the We Aint Gonna Take It video actually came to my mind for some reason and I watched the video on You Tube. Yeah, it certainly was Kinda creepy alright. They sure don't make videos like that anymore though! It is strange that MTV doesn't even play music anymore! What reality TV has to do with music I have no idea. Here in Canada we still have music on Much Music, though I very seldom ever watch it anymore. As for my favorite decade of music I'd say definately the 80's and some of the dance music that came out in the early 90's.
