Default How about the 20's?

How can you beat the 1920's. In 1024 there was George Gershwin's Rapsody in Blue (probably the greatest piece of music ever written by an American), and later his Lady, be Good in '24 and An American in Paris in 1928.

And of course if you like the more pop stuff there was Ma Rainey, Cow Cow Davenport, Sippie Wallace, and Blind Lemon Jefferson. Now those were really the good old days of music.

(Not to mention the beginning of the Grand Old Oprey, the Charleston, and Louis Armstrong!)

Music to me started going downhill around '93 but has really gone flat in 2004...Ugh! My favorite decade is a Tye between the 60's & 80's. Seems like talent is not required for today's industry which is sad.
