    Default NBA Fans?

Are there any NBA fans in the babbler? I've been here for a year and can't recall one NBA conversation.

Looks like another Lakers v/s Celtics year. It also looks like the Lakers will take it.

I've tried to start up a couple but they haven't gone anywhere. LOL I usually follow it more closely during the playoffs but I do follow it somewhat during the regular season. I run an NBA fantasy league with some friends so I have to keep abreast of what's going on (somewhat).

The Lakers look hot. So glad Kobe's on my fantasy team.

Wow, I was thinking of doing the whole fantasy team thing through Yahoo, but never got started.

I really hope the 3 superstar trend continues. It will make the game so much better. I just hope Dwayne Wade gets some real help or gets traded Orlando.

Yeah I'm officially addicted to fantasy. Even though it's a free league, the guys I play with our super competitive (well I guess I am too) so it's a lot of fun. My team is pretty solid this year.

I hope Dewayne gets traded too. Can you imagine Rashard, Howard and Wade all on one team??? Whoo!

    Woo is right.

I just feel bad for Wade right now. New coach (with no experience) and new teammates. They've got a long road to travel.

I just can't wait for Charlotte to get a good team. We haven't had any NBA excitement since Zo, Muggsy Bogues, and Larry Johnson were together. I'm sorry but Jordan is not very good at putting together a team. He wasn't even a good slam dunk judge. Kenny Smith and Charles even said that.

LOL and so true about Jordan and his team assembling skills.

Grand ma-ma! Ahhhh yes, the early 90's were a good time for your city. I was in high school then and was just starting to follow basketball. Wasn't Mourning on that team too?

Yeah, that's before they called him "Zo". Those were the good ol' days. The team was ok when Glen Rice got hot, but it's all been down hill from there. Then the team left.

We are back with the Bodcats, but Jordan and Bob Johnson does not have a clue how to build a team. I mean we have some good players, but it takes a great team to win.

You guys have 2 great teams and 1 pretty good one. I'm jealous.

Yeah but the Mavericks (the only Texas team I really care about) has some work to do. Ever since they collapsed against Miami 2 years ago they've got a lot to prove and now with coaching changes, and an ever-changing roster, they need some work.

My stone-cold lead pipe lock for the NBA Championship:

    Cavs over the Hornets!

...actually, I have no idea. It'd be great, but Cleveland has to be the unluckiest major sports town in the country.

LeBron really should have a fantastic year though. Definitely a good bet for MVP.

No way man. Both of those teams may be the future, but Lakers v/s Celtics will be the thing again this year. And the MVP will be from one of those teams.

I know this sounds silly but lost interest after they had the strike over pay! Just watch the boomers

Well speaking of losing interest, I must admit that I lost a lot of interest after Jordan retired. I used to follow the whole season closely. Now I only watch the playoffs mostly.

We don't get much coverage of NBA, but as far as I know, the Boston Celtics are hugely supported in Ireland (among basketball fans).

I wonder does it have anything to do with the millions of "Irish" people in Boston
    Go Celtics!

But I hate to tell you guys over there that the Lakers are going all the way.

I used to watch it a lot but now not so much especially during football season. I catch a few games here and there. I do like to watch the playoffs because everyone plays even harder. Allen Iverson went to Detroit, he needs to stick with one team i am sick of having to always buy new jerseys.
