What Kind of computer do you own?
I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment Laptop with Windows Vista Premium. It works for me! So far it does what I need it to do. At times I wish it was a little faster but who doesn't have those experiences every now & again. I'm proud of my laptop because it has enabled me to start earning money on the Internet! I don't plan on trading in or getting a new laptop any time soon. My laptop is cool with me...at least for now

Interesting collection
Surprising Lisa, just a bit, that none of them came from your neighbor, Michael.
But I've made up for it. Altogether, counting my wife's laptop, we have six of them (Dells for those who may not know where you live).

LOL, so true. (We drove past his house/land when I was in Austin last year... Amazing.) Anywho, I've never been a Dell fan. When I worked for American Airlines they had a program that offered a deep discount to employees. Almost everyone had problems with them. I realize some of that is relative though. Just like some people may say the same about Gateway and Toshiba based on their own experiences while I love them and have never had any issues.
Six computers! James are you running a school? LOL

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 which we got last year. I have already had to replace the battery in it (most I could get from it was 40 minutes). Now I can get almost 4 hours on the replacement.
I also have an old P4 desktop that I built years ago, but can still do the simple tasks (web pages, Internet).

I have two HP desktops. On Linsky's and Earthlink. Let me tell ya. Customer service is terrible. Plus each computer in your network must have an adapter. Which costs another 30 bucks!
When my computer froze. Getting assistance from these guys was like pulling teeth...
Taking as long as a month!

A school?
Yes, Lisa, a school. Only I am the only student. I keep learning every day, especially from this site.
Actually I forgot a couple other old laptops in the closet. So I have eight Dells. I have never had a single problem with any of them except one that had a defective part when it arrived; we called and had a replacement all the way up here in Minnesota in a couple of days.
The reason for so many computers is that some are older. I just never get around to clearing out all the data. Now I hang on to some because some of the old data can't be read by new programs. Not that I will ever need anything from them.
Before Dell I had a couple IBM's. The first saved to a cassette tape (that was before the first 10 meg hard drive and floppies.

Ahhhh yes. I can relate to the "not throwing out" scenario. I just got rid of one of my old ones recently. Letting go is so hard sometimes. LOL
IBM with cassettes? Wow! My uncle had a Commodore 64 and I remember thinking that was the coolest thing on the planet.

I remember them well.
There were several before the IBM PC (the Radio Shack TSR 80 was quite popular, too) but the screen resolution was so poor that the best you could do was 40 characters across the screen—there are 80 in a standard typed page. That made them too user unfriendly for me so I waited until the original IBM PC.

Last year I've heard Bill Gates is working on a revolutionary PC. Which looks like a coffee table. Two people can surf at once.
It's believed to it absorb info(links) from objects(books, magazines, etc.) and brings you to related webpages. Your mouse will be obsolete. Your fingers will do the pointing-and-clicking.
After this he will retire. Being the richest man in the world, Net earnings=$500 billion a year. Though I think some Mexican has beat him.
