Default I HATE BEST BUY

So I bought this television last year sometime and I got a bestbuy card and I put it on there. So today I look at my account and they have added 663 in deferred finance charges!!!! I noticed it on my bill about something about deferred finance charges, but I thought it was a promotion I didnt know it was something that was going to happen, so I bought a new camera on my boyfriends best buy card and I have to return it, and the warranty - the restocking fee of 15% (that ONLY BEST BUY CHARGES). I shouldve just gone to radio shack, circuit city, or Fry's to buy my camera. I am now in the process of calling supervisors at best buy to get it down alll they can do is 30% well that is 100% of my business they have just LOST!!!!! UGH So if you have a best buy card or recently opened one up. pay off your balance and get rid of it before you, get screwed just like me

Hi Vashti,

You do have to be careful with those deferred interest programs, if you don't pay them off in time then all the deferred interest is added back..but they can work in your favor as well.

We have bought several things there..computers, a generator (we live in the hurricane belt), etc. on the deferred interest plan and make a point to divide up the amount of the purchase over the time to pay, and make that payment each month, even though they say you don't have to pay anything for that period of time. That way we get to finance the purchase over time with no interest.

So don't write them off so quick (although I do resent that restocking fee!)...take advantage of the program instead.

If I would've know that it was an option that was applied to my account I would've used it to my advantage completely. Because I understand that it is pretty much giving you a long time to pay off your card without having interest...that is fabulous. But I thought it was an offer that they were giving like for 6 months no interest if you are interested, not this is what is going to happen in a couple of months. the thing that irritates me is that they can call and tell you when you didnt make your payment or when they are offering identity protection, but they cant call and tell you hey you are about to get charged 700.00, because of this deferred promotion thing. credit card suck! i'm over the whole ordeal, because they worked with me on my card, but on my boyfriends card they are not willing to help him at all = (
