Default Safari and other browsers...

I came across Safari and it seems to be sweet... Has anyone else given it a try...

I quickly tried it on Windows, but haven't used it much. It took some getting used to, for me anyways.

Default Safari-schmari.

Sorry about that terrible title.

Safari is actually pretty good. It's definitely leaps and bounds better than Internet Explorer (which isn't really saying much).

In my humble opinion though, the best browser for your buck is Firefox 3 (there's really no "buck," it's free ), hands down. No contest.

It's a little bit faster and it's unbelievably customizable. There are something like 5000 available extensions for it. You can seriously make FF do anything you need.

Like I said, nothing wrong with Safari, but give Firefox a shot.

(there is even a theme to make FF look exactly like Safari)

Nope, haven't tried yet... I am not even sure that I want to try it out.

I use Firefox and I am more than satisfied with it. It serves my purpose just great...

Default Not for web work, IMO

I've tried it. Can't see any advantage unless you like to get all the apple ads on their default home page and that takes forever to load.

Firefox has tremendous advantages for web work due to all the tremendous add-ons.

Once I downloaded Firefox, that was it for me. I only use IE when checking site designs and layouts.

I love the color picking tool, the screen shot tool, the calorie counting tool, the bible verse tool, etc. Lots and lots of tools. Some of the plug-ins aren't compatible with the newest version yet. I really want an NBA theme.
