Times are so difficult at the moment. I remember as a child my parents use to call the times they lived in the 'good ole days' now I say that about when I was a child, the 70's and 80's were great.
Could any of you imagine one day saying that
these were the 'good ole days'? I mean they're not horrible but.... gas it over $4.00!!
I live in New England and I use to want to move. Although it's expensive to live here I really don't want to move any more because out of all the areas in the country, we seem to have the least problems with weather. My cousin lives down Florida and he use to razz me about the cold. I told him I'll take a NorEaster over a Tornado any day.
And I'm a stockpile freak. People at my job use to laugh at me because of all the food and water I piled up, they don't anymore. I'm a Costco's shopper and you should see my basement pantry. My self, my boyfriend, my sisters family of seven (she just had twin boys at 36, with her oldest being 10 she's now back to late night feeding and crying babies. Me and my mom help her as much as we can by going over and spending the day with her and the twins. I don't know how she does it, cute as all heck but better her then me.) my mom and my brother and his kids could all live on what I have stocked for a very very long time. I also have cords of wood and tons of first aid stuff.
We can't trust the government to help us. The only thing is if my house gets blown away, I'm screwed just like everyone else. But I have more then over prepared. You guys should checkout
http://www.ready.gov/. It has tons of things you should do just in case.
