I just got a Website Babble email that one of my messages in one of the threads I posted in has a linkback. I read the definition of the linkback but I am still not sure how and why this occurred...or where the linkback is going to. It looks like it is within the same thread.

Can someone help explain this to me?

A linkback means another page is linking to your thread. So for example if a blogger found your thread and wanted to post a link to it then you would be notified. Although, I must say, I didn't realize that the users of the forum got that message to.
