Free Will? I'm more of a Fly By Night or Spirit of the Radio kind of guy myself. Rush's instrumental stuff is absolutely amazing. YYZ or La Villa Strangiato are instrumental masterpieces. How those three crazy Canadians produce all that sound is mind boggling. I'm not a big fan of Rush's lyrics though... they're usually a little to "out there" for my liking, but to each his own, eh?

The best song ever is La Di Da Di by Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick.....or MC Ricky D as he was known then.

Flogging Molly!
very nice! They are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. If anyone could hear "Salty Dog" in a concert setting and not get an urge to either A) start dancing like an idiot, B) go find yourself a nice cold Guinness, or C) both, they are absolutely nuts in my book.
kudos.
p.s. you can't forget about the Murphy's or the Pogues either!

YES! Saltydog is simply ... amazing. Whenever I go running, that's the first song I hear. I can't help but sprint the entire time. Hahahaa. :P

Well if this is going to be a Rush thread...I happen to love The Trees. My son is now playing it for me..okay...my 16 yo and I are listening to the same music..rather he is listening to my classic rock! Metallica...Van Halen..Sabbath...Rush...Floyd...etc.....How cool is that...I must have done something right
As far as Best. Song. Ever.....there are too many I love to pick just one.

I'm afraid I'm lost on this one!
Gee, I thought I was staying young hanging in here with all you smart young folks, but I don't have any idea what any of you are talking about. The last popular hit I remember was, "How much in that doggy in the window?"

Wow!! Rush fans here too!! I have to say, there is not another band in the whole Universe that can come close to Rush, I love their music. Is anyone here into drums? If you want to see a guy who can really, and I mean really, play Rush songs well you need to see this guy: Astrotama
