Have Domain + Host still lost!
I used the to CreateAWebsite Tutorial to learn how to build a website. I went to GoDaddy and got my Domain and went to Website Tonight and bought a 5 page 2 month deal so that I could build a site.
Problem? I cannot figure out where to go from here! The Website Tonight page said:
"With WebSite Tonight - and its more than 800 easy-to-use templates - you can build your own Web site even if you have no technical skills. "
But when I E-mailed Website Tonight they replied:
"Thank you for contacting Online Support. Please note, we may give instructions and information, however, we cannot assist you in creating the website. "
Question: What am I paying for and where do I go from here? Please help!
E-mail me at Moss1fan84@aol.com if you want.

I am not familiar with how Website Tonight works exactly, but I am sure it's like a typical hosting account. Assuming that's true, I would login to my Website Tonight hosting plan and look for "Website Builder" or "Templates" or something like that, and I am sure it will give instructions on how to proceed.

Login to your GoDaddy account and go to the "Web Hosting" section or "My Hosting Accounts." From there you can activate your Website Tonight package.

Thanks Lisa - you are awesome! I think I've got a bit of it down now.
I have a few more questions.
Ok, I went to GoDaddy and set up my account which is now in a pending status. It says that:
"After your account is set up, you can log back in to your Hosting Control Center to upload files to your Web site, create sub domains, customize your 404 pages, set up databases for your hosting account, and more."
Does this mean I can start building the site? See, I also have a domain through Website Tonight because of the ability to set up forums. Can I use templates through GoDaddy as well or will I need to use myWebsite Tonight domain name for the web building. This is where I'm confused.
I purshased my domain through GoDaddy thinking I could then use Website Tonight as my host and thus use the templates I saw there to build the site. I like my GoDaddy domain name much better than the one I bought through Website Tonight - I only bought it because it was so cheap. I don't need 2 sites.
Could you explain to me where I'm at now? And again -- Thank You!

Website Tonight is just another hosting option and you don't have to associate your domain with it. The templates that come with Website Tonight are best used for that hosting option. If you want to use your own custom templates or templates you've found online then you should use one of GoDaddy's regular hosting options.
I just want to clarify because you write as if your domain was bought through Website Tonight. Your domain is registered through GoDaddy and you chose Website Tonight for hosting. You don't have to use Website Tonight but it's the easiest to setup.
Did you buy two hosting accounts? Why do you say you have two sites? You only need 1 domain and then choose a host. Either Website Tonight or a regular host that allows you the most flexibility.

Allow me to clarify things as I either seem vague or redundant to you. I'm a beginner so it's probably both.
About the 2 websites and 2 domain names. I only have 1 hosting account though Website Tonight - pics may help as I may be wrong again.
This domain was through GoDaddy -- MMALIONSDEN.COM
This domain was through InstaPro.net LMMALionsden.com
They are Mixed Martial Arts websites and the only reason I even bought the LMMAlionsden was because it was like $2 and this is only for learning at the moment. I will invest money into SBI! after I get the hang of things. Also, would you reccommend a hyphen between MMA-LionsDen when I have SBI! build it?
I have learned how to create the website using Website Tonight templates and such. However it is the LMMA domain registered there and I do not want it. I would like to build a site from MMAlionsden instead, but I do not know how and am unsure if I need to pay another hosting fee. Could I just switch domain names? This is where I'm confused.
I apologize for my less than savvy understanding of website creations! You and your site have been most helpful and I know I've been mass confusion, if there is a place I could make a contribution I would love to do so.

I'm sorry, I guess I'm confused because it sounds like you already have everything setup correctly. You want to use the .COM domain with Website Tonight. That domain is registered with GoDaddy and GoDaddy is where Website Tonight hosting is located. So you should be able to link Website Tonight with your .COM name.
If you do not want to use the .NET version that you bought at InstaPro then that's a non-issue because Website Tonight is a GoDaddy product and your .COM domain is already sitting on GoDaddy's servers.
So my confusion is the domain you bought at InstaPro. That seems to be a non-issue since you are going to use Website Tonight with the name you registered at GoDaddy.
Does InstaPro offer Website Tonight too? Maybe that's where I'm getting confused.
As far as the hyphens, that's up to you. Some people believe longer names fair better in the search engines with hyphens because the engines can read the keywords, but I'm not sure they matter as much anymore.

Yes, InstaPro offers Website Tonight as well.
I know Go Daddy uses Website Tonight as well, but will I need to buy an addition package to create the website?
I'd like to totally do away with the LMMMA site and use only the MMA site. The big problem is that when I purchased the LMMA site through InstaPro I was already so tired and confused that I didn't even recognize it had an "L" in it! It is a worthless domain name.

Got it! You need to point your GoDaddy.com domain to InstaPro's servers. They (InstaPro) should have provided you with nameserver info. Login to GoDaddy and point the GoDaddy domain to InstaProfit by updating your domain's nameservers. Now you'll have to ask InstaProfit how to associate this domain with the your Website Tonight account. Should be a pretty easy fix.
You don't need to buy anything else though.

Ok .. got it, finally! I figured out to create a website with my domain www.mmalionsden.com which is what I wanted to all along.
Now I am confuse whether or not to build the site by scratch or not. I read your article on this and will go back and read it again. It just seems their templates leave a bit to be desire.
Thanks for everything and I'll keep you posted.

Great. The templates for Website Tonight are somewhat limiting and as I suggested on my site, they are best for very simple sites with text and pictures. It's really best to choose a regular host (cheaper too!) and use some kind of software to build your pages. That way you'll have full control.

When you say "regular host" what do you mean?
And I'm not sure if you know to the answer to this, it's a bit bizzare. When I load images using Website Tonight it actually prints the name of the image i.e Mossfan18_jpg. onto it and even on the actual website.
What kind of software do you reccomend? Are you talking Coffee Cup Dreamweaver, etc?

I mean a regular host without the builder and templates. For example if you go to Godaddy.com and click the Web Hosting tab. Those are regular plans. And yes, I recommend Dreamweaver for software.
Not sure about the tabs on images using Website Tonight. I helped my friend setup his website using Website Tonight and he didn't have that issue. You might want to see if it's an add-on supplied by your host.

Which site is best for adding a forum similar to the one here?

A regular host that allows MySQL support. So the Web hosting plans at GoDaddy.com would allow you to install something like this.
