Default Presidential debates

Does anyone here watch the debates? I was watching the democratic one with Hillary and Barack last night. I thought it was kind of boring but most of them are really exciting. It's almost like watching drama TV shows!

I seem to either be out of town or not able to watch the Tuesday debates for some reason or other. I usually go on the news sites or CNN to catch the wrap up and highlights. But you are right.... there is more drama this year than Days of Our Lives!

Watching presidential debates really tick me off, mostly because the candidates tend to say wonderful yet unrealistic promises/things. That, and also, they tend to think that the average American citizen is stupid.

Unfortunately, a lot of people do not think critically about what the candidates say, and they just trust/believe that what the candidates say is accurate.

As you can see, I have a cynical view of politics and politicians, but I tend to vote for the candidate who ticks me off the least about the issues that are important to me... what a great way to look at it, huh? lol

Unfortunately, the popular phrase vote for "the lesser of two evils" truly plagues me every election cycle.

Hope I didn't ruin your day

The only guy that I feel is genuine is Ron Paul. From my heart I feel he will lead this country in the right direction.

Default Same ol stuff

Watching the debates is like watching Pro-Wrestling. A lot of talk and not much substance. Go back and watch the Kennedy-Nixon debate from the 60's and what you hear today is the same junk that was said back then. Promises, Promises, Promises, but once in office nothing changes.

Or better yet, once they get in office, they say, oops, sorry... not only will we not do what we promised, but we'll actually do the opposite... Gotta love politics.

On a lighter note, I read this joke a long time ago, where it broke down the word "politics" to poly- (which means 'many') and -ticks (i.e. those ugly bugs).
