Headed to Vegas!

Well I'm going to the Affiliate Summit tomorrow (http://www.affiliatesummit.com for details.) The folks from CJ, LinkShare, ShareASale and all of those giant affiliate networks will be there. It's a great opportunity to meet tons of everyday folks like us with existing online businesses or those just starting up, and what better place to host it... VEGAS!

This is only my 2nd time going and I heard this year it's going to be bigger than ever. I'll take pics and share any tips and strategies I learn.

If you have some gripes for any of these affiliate networks, let me know and I'll pass them along to the account reps.

I encourage you guys to go to the next one if you can. Lots of great information, especially for newbies. It would be great to meet you in person.

Hope you bring back lots from your journey lisa perhaps blog it when you get back!? I look forward to hearing all about it sounds like its definitely quite big.

Next thing you might even get employed or affiliated with some big corporate companys or advertisement net workers.

Yes it should be fun. The cool thing is I met a lot of people last year and many of them are coming back again so it will be good to see everyone again.

I definitely plan on blogging about it when I get back (or perhaps while I'm there!

Affiliated with another network? Maybe.... and that would be very cool if I found a great partnership. Employed, however? Naaaaah I doubt it. Now that I have the taste of working for myself I think it would be really hard to give the freedom up... even for a lot of money.

What was it like going to your first internet marketing seminar ever last time?

Well my first one was just last year to be honest. I'd never attended one before then. As far as the Summit goes there aren't as many affiliates there as there are affiliate networks, lead generation companies, etc. but overall it's a good experience. You get to network with folks, share ideas and there are even some great after parties.

The Affiliate Summit has 2 days of exhibits where companies setup booths and you just walk around talking to folks. They also have other seminars going on in the "meeting rooms" on various topics (traffic building, affiliate programs, etc.) So there's a lot going on and if you have a full pass you can attend any event you want.

I got lucky, ShareASale gave me a free, full-conference pass ($1,000) so all I had to pay for was my flight and hotel fees.

I just got back from Vegas from a personal trip.

I won't be going to the Summit this year... but maybe next year! Have fun, Lisa, I have no doubt it's going to be a great experience this year!

Oooooh man is all I have to say about the Summit. I am just leaving Vegas now and heading back to Dallas and let me tell you this conference was AWESOME! I've got so many notes and ideas for blogs that I plan to do soon. My head is spinning with so much information!!!

I'm dog tired, but it was well worth it. AND I won $200 on the nickel machines. Cha-Ching!!

OK, OK.... let me come clean. I really only won $80 'cause I dropped $120 to win the $200. LOL

But stay tuned to my blog. I hope to have some useful stuff coming down the pike.
