Abbreviation Alley
Okay everyone! For the people like me that is new to a few things and want to know what people are talking about when they use abbreviations, Here is a thread that we all can contribute to when we come across an abbreviation that we don't understand or just want to post a few that we may know. Put the abbreviation in the title so it will be easier to read by members.

HTML - Hypertext Markup Language
The scripting language that 99% of websites are written in. Without HTML, a website is near impossible (unless you know Flash or Microsoft's new Silverlight).

CSS - Cascading Stylesheet
This is styling functionality for your HTML scripting. It allows you to add styles to all of your HTML objects in a non-inline fashion. It also allows for cascading (this is so that you do not have to name every single object with ID or CLASS attributes).

RSS
RSS= Really Simple Syndication. A type of Feed. RSS is one of several that let you syndicate a snippet of your favorite content onto your homepage(e.g. My Yahoo!, Myspace, Facebook, etc.). When the feed headline(tittle of article/post) is clicked on, you are automatically sent to the authors website. Another great way to build your list & get traffic.
