Question Set Up our Work Schedule???

I know that a lot of you are self employed, and I am curious as to how you set your schedules up.

I try to work in my business as if I was working for someone else. (i.e. I get up in the morning at 7 A.M., get ready, and start working from 8-5 with a break in between for lunch)

Now, I don't follow this exactly, particularly when I need to work longer, but it tends to work well because for me, psychologically, I can keep work separate from the time I spend on winding down in the evening. I find it works well, and on the weekends I often do not work as well.

How do you guys deal with not having a set schedule that someone else is giving you?

Do you work a certain number of hours per day every day, or do you work longer days and take weekends off?

I have tried many times to set up a schedule for my work, but i find it is very hard to put in practice. As you said sometimes i need to work for a long time ,sometimes i'm tried and want to have a rest. Also in weekend time for relaxing myself.
So right now i haven't made a detailed schedule, just a simple schedule.

You should schedule just like you would schedule one of your employers IMO it will work the best

i think its not so easy to work on your own, and decide the hours. so many distractions

but like someone in this thread says, just plan what needs to be done for the day and try to finish it before hitting your way to bed
