I am in this profession for the past three years and I have noticed that this industry is now slowing reeling under a kind of inertia or somewhat stagnation. I think that this was bound to happen as almost everyone of us has formed primary information about search engine optimization. What the members think about it.

I basically agree with you on he term 'stagnant'. I guess it's also such a risk to rely on an SEO profession for long term purposes.

The better plan, which I intend to do, is to make SEO somewhat some kind of a sideline for extra income while I look or take another stable job. It may take me away from having more time to concentrate on SEO and earn from it, but security is there and that extra income wouldn't hurt either.

You're just not looking. The people who are actively searching out people offering services are of course going to meet a huge number of options - I've participated in another forum (different theme) where peoples SEO knowledge isn't 'internet marketers' level and some really genuine people are making a living selling services there.

You need to find a market and simply talk to them - look around locally, it's easier!
