What hosts offer free domain name within hosting plans?
I would like to compare as much as possible web hosting companies plans which offer free domain name within them. I have found marblehost.com and thinking to deal with this company as it offers many good extra bonuses including free domain name.
What is your attitude towards this company?
Are there any alternatives which you consider to be reliable?

I believe Bluehost offers it as well, and they're pretty reliable.

premium web providers but they actually offer free hosting with domain (but with ads). I think the domain is like 3.99 or 1.99 w hosting. Something like that

I got a free domain for my hostmonster hosting ($5 a month for a year-long contract), and for my godaddy account I just bought a domain and it was hosted for free with a HUGE and annoying ad that wasn't even relevant to my website. That's what I get for $10 a year, I guess.

a lot
First an aside to nithinr6—thanks for using good judgment and doing what I think you probably did pretty well know (see all that red print at the top of this page!). We had a lot of trouble with people self-promoting lately inspite of clear rules against it. Fortunately it has subsided. Thanks everyone for helping to make the forum a better place to learn and share. It is hard to resist sometimes but essential to the success of the forum.
As to the question at hand, a lot of hosts offer one free registration with a hosting plan. If you add additional sites under the same plan (some offer unlimited sites), you do have to pay for the additional registrations. This is important to note because some hosts that may be inexpensive as hosts have outrageous rates for registrations.
I use Dreamhost and it offers a free registration. Check with hosts you may be considering. Many of them do this.

Don't sacrifice security and quality. It is not ideal to jump into affordable web hosts in which in the long run can lead to many problems such as web site accessibility and, worst, shutting down of web site.
To my mind, it will be productive to order hosting plan and get free domain name. I have noticed that marblehost.com offered other attractive free bonuses like website builder, PHP scripts installer, etc.
Think that you will be satisfied dealing with this company.

You should be really careful with looking for the cheapest possible plan. My first web host included a free domain, as soon as I moved hosting accounts I had the ring them up many times to get the domain back (It took 2 weeks). If you keep your domain and hosting separate it means you can move in a day. Transferring a domain takes a long time.
I have read stories on this forum of people loosing their domains after moving host. Even companies charging customers for the domain once they move hosting.
My advice would be to purchase the domain from a well known register such as godaddy.com. Yesterday my brother bought a domain from a UK register and it took so long for them to review the purchase and we also updated the name servers over 12 hours ago with no success. When I updated the name servers on domains I purchased from godaddy.com it updated in a couple of hours.

Powweb offers a free domain for the first year that you sign up with them. This is what I am using now. To get the free domain though, you have to sign up with them for a year though. I know Lisa reccomends powweb for hosting as well. However, if I remember right, she suggests you purchase your domain from Website Tonight. This is because apparently after the first year with Powweb, you pay more for the domain than other web hosts. By the way, I paid $58.66 total(including tax) for a domain and web hosting(unlimited storage and bandwidth) for one year. This works out to just under $5.00 a month.

You will find many hosting providers offering free domains with the hosting packages. However, the most important factor according to me is the reliability and the kind of service the hosting provider provides.
The reason for this is the fact that you will get domains and other addons at a very cheap price and if you choose a hosting provider who offers domains and addons for free yet does not offer good service, the domains and other addons will be of no use.

I've been with Hostgator for a month now and so far, they seem pretty good. Lot's of options (so much it may be overwhelming for a rookie), unlimited domains for the higher packages, and fairly cheap fees.
I would absolutely discourage you from going near Yahoo's webhosting services with a ten foot pole. Talk about antiquated. I thought they were great until I learned how much others offer for the same price.

Many of the hosting providers offer Unlimited domain hosting with cheap hosting packages also. Hence, if they offer Unlmited domain hosting with the higher configuration packages, they do not do something which other hosting providers do not
