Hi quahog35,

When I see posts like this from new members, I can't help but wonder if this is self promotion. Particularly since you started a thread that does not generally lead to any discussion and seems more like an announcement.

If you are posting this thread to help other members find free hosts then that is fine, but in the future please post questions or topics that generally lead to a discussion rather than just an announcement. If I don't monitor this I run the risk of people joining just to announce websites and pretty soon the forum turns into a bunch of ads rather than discussions.

Thanks for understanding.

Agree with Lisa. quahog35, you may very well be a happy customer of that site you posted but it does look suspicious to me when I see new members come to a forum just to tell us about a great site, especially since it is not part of an existing discussion where someone asked other's opinions about a free host.

Sorry but looks like self promo to me. I apologize if I'm wrong. Those of us who post here regularly care about Website Babble and don't want to see it turn into a spamming ground like so many other forums out there. Again my apologies if self promotion wasn't your intention and you really are a customer. Just understand what it looks like to the rest of us.

Default That must be the truth

I fervently agreed with Lisa and Ppcfanatic, for that laments, i think it may depent on the level of understanding of what ths site is meant to be, for a new bubbler, sorry, but what Lisa said is very right, and i think you will get to understand whats going on around here, and that the site is for, questions, and discussions, and not ads, and other irrelevant tags. be sure and come front, all is well over here.

Default if you want to....

you can make your own web server instead....just google for WAMP (Windows, Apache, Mysql, and PHP) and redirect to your web server using wither a .com or another process (i use .co.nr because its been free for about a year now). Its not too hard just read the documentation.

this way you know more about how you implement your website. heck if you wanted to, you can even restrict ip's so that only certain computers can access the server (good for local businesses) i created a wiki this way.

sorry if thats too technical.... its just another option to put forth
