Hostgator guide needed

I have my acct now at hostgator....I am totally lost, does anyone have the time and energy to walk me thru what to do with it...lol Thanks Debbie

What are you using to create your pages? A software program or are you going to code from scratch and upload?

I have wrote my pages in html code....didn't get to the css part in my class,because photobucket,took my pictures off....I have downloaded Filezilla as I use IE. I went to the cpanel in hostgator,went to ftp manager and so I'm lost from herethere were ftp accts.set up anonymous and others.....I also got the .net to redirect to my .com lost there also. Lord I need to know everything. I am going to pm Govindji_Patel and get on yahoo messenger and see how that goes. Thanks debbie

You don't need to create a new ftp account.

Use the following details:

Address: ftp.yourdomain.com or the IP address
username: your cpanel username
password: your cpanel password

Connect and upload files to either "www" or "public_html" folder. Both are one and the same.

Open the domain in your browser and check if it is working.

I was in same way lost on how to use server cpanel so I know how you fill you can see my yahoo and msn on right hand corner of my post just send me invitation with your name and this forum in message so I know.
