I am almost ready to "start my site...In my classes, I used photobucket to "store" my pics and used the direct link to put in my html code...but now my pics have been taken off..I am making a breast cancer site and the pic were of a breast showing different tests......I am going with host gator, do they have a place to store my pic or do I have to find somewhere elsr to store them...I am writing my site in code Thanks Debbie
Hello i think i might be able to help you.
You are going to wont to use a ftp manager. Login with the info the host gave you. Then from there you are going to make a folder called pics . Add all he picture to the folder. Then name the pics so you can remember them .
your image link will be
yourdomain.com/images/name of images . type jpeg , tiff, or what not
From there uses that image in the html change the html link to that one.
I hope that is simple im not the best at simplifing
slayer1927 summed it up well. It's just a matter of uploading all your images to a folder on your server. When you login to Hostgator's control panel you'll have the opportunity to create an FTP account so you can upload your files and images. If you use Firefox, I highly recommend using FireFTP to do your uploads. If you use IE, FileZilla is a good free FTP program.
